Local Crime Stoppers Office Officially Opens
Crime Stoppers Offers a $5,000 Reward Offer for Information in local case.

The Houston County Crime Stoppers office celebrated a Grand Opening Ceremony at 100 North Sixth Street on Thursday, December 15.
Lufkin Television News Station KTRE was present to interview Houston County Crime Stoppers Coordinator James Ashworth about the special announcement offering an unprecedented $5,000 cash reward for "Information leading to the Location and Positive Identification of Dina Michele Shoemake." Representatives of local Law Enforcement agencies including the Crockett Police Department, Houston County Sheriff's Office. Texas Department of Public Safety, Grapeland Police Department, Houston County Court at Law, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden and the District Attorney's Office were present for the ceremonies.
In a special ceremony several elected officials including Houston County Commissioners Court, City of Kennard Mayor Bill Thomas, City of Latexo Mayor Daphne Hereford, City of Grapeland Police Chief Roger Dickey, and City of Crockett Councilman James Hall presented Proclamations declaring Dec. 15, 2005 as Crime Stoppers Day throughout the county.
